Description: This is Bradley 1887 map of Washington and Oregon. Shows both the state of Oregon and the territory of Washington in full with vivid hand coloring at the county level. This map was initially issued in 1880 by Samuel Augustus Mitchell Jr. Sometime in the early 1880s Mitchell sold some of his map plates, including this one, to Bradley who issued several editions of the Mitchell atlas under his own name.

Cartographer: Bradley, Garretson & Co. (fl. c. 1880 - 1900) were prominent cartographic publishers active in the later part of the 19th century. Bradley acquired Samuel Augustus Mitchell Junior's atlas plates in the late 1880s which he used to publish his own version of Mitchell's atlas. Condition: Very good. Original centerfold exhibits some wear and verso reinforcement.
